On Sunday, November 1st members from the Station Pt. Allerton color guard presented colors for the Boston Celtics at TD North Garden in Boston. MK2 Edward Minor, FA Jeremy Gillis and SA Rene Egger joined Division 12 auxiliarist Kevin Ritchie, who made the special arrangements with the Celtics. The arrangements were made as a symbolic gesture of the continuous, strong working relationship between Division 12 auxiliarist and active duty members of Station Pt. Allerton. This was the eleventh Team Coast Guard Color Guard presentation this year organized through the Division 12 Color Guard, which have been comprised of auxiliarist and active duty members, and was the first time that a unit comprised primarily from Station Pt. Allerton presented for the famed Boston Celtics organization. The 17,782 spectators in attendance rose to their feet as the spot light shined on the unit standing at attention on the renowned parquet floor at center court. The unit was lead and commanded by Kevin Ritchie. Prior to the game, members were treated to a buffet lunch. After the presentation members were given tickets to press seats where they enjoyed viewing the game. A great time was had by all.
